This is a really simple recipe using only a few fabulous ingredients.
I am a big fan of creating healthy alternatives and this Bounty Ball recipe tastes great and makes for a great sweet treat, with all the goodness of real coconut and raw chocolate 🙂
To create this recipe I just needed to make a filling, as I just used my Pure Raw Chocolate recipe for the coating. If you have any chocolate left at the end, you can pop it into moulds or cake cases to freeze as well.
Blend all the filling ingredients together in a food processor until it forms a sticky consistency
Scoop out enough mixture to make a small ball and roll it together gently using your hands. Place on a lined tray. Carry on this step until all the mixture is gone and pop the balls in the freezer to set, whilst you make the chocolate.
Using a double boiler, melt the cacao butter gently until it turns into a liquid.
Take the glass bowl off heat and add the maple syrup. Stir well.
Now add the cacao powder. Stir well until everything is silky smooth and the chocolate begins to thicken. This will take a few minutes.
Take the balls out of the freezer and transfer them onto a plate or clean work top. Dip the balls into the chocolate so that they are completely covered, then place back onto the lined tray. Once all the balls are coated, place back in the freezer to set for an hour or so.
These can be kept in the freezer. Take out and let defrost for a few minutes before eating.
