Pecan & Banana Bites

With only 5 ingredients and a few simple steps, these little banana bites can satisfy your sweet tooth in no time.

Fuss-free and simple, these bites are the perfect snack to keep you going throughout the day, making them great for on-the-go, to take to work or to pop in a kiddies lunch box (preferably your kid).

I think bananas are a great way to naturally sweeten things up, whether I’m using them in baked goods or a smoothie 😉 Two ripe bananas are just right for me in this recipe, but if you’d like your banana bites a little sweeter, a dash of maple syrup wouldn’t hurt.

This recipe makes 10-12 bites depending on size. I kept mine small, but you can make yours larger if you wish.

Ingredients

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 160C (fan) and line a baking tray.
  2. Mash the bananas in a bowl with a fork, then mix in the rest of the ingredients stirring well. If mixture is quite wet, add a few more oats.
  3. Take one tablespoon of the mixture and place on the baking tray. Repeat this stage until you have used all the mixture.
  4. Bake for 18-20 minutes. Leave on a rack to cool before eating.
