Carrot Apple and Ginger Juice

This carrot, apple and ginger juice not only tastes delicious, but it is wonderfully cleansing, hydrating and energizing for the body.

Drinking juice is a fantastic and natural way for the body to easily absorb essential vitamins, minerals and enzymes found in raw fruit and vegetables. Juice helps to restore and support different bodily systems, like the digestive and immune system (which can come in handy for this time of year).

If your like me and don’t own a juicer, or simply dislike cleaning it, here is a really easy way to make this silky smooth juice. The only equipment you need:

  • Blender (or food professor). I will be using my NutriBullet.
  • Nut milk bag (or jelly bag, straining bag, muslin bag – even a clean stocking could work).

  1. Prepare ingredients

4. Strain juice (Should make 400-450mls)

To make it easier for the concentrated vitamins, minerals and enzymes to enter the bloodstream absorbing all of the nutrients, it is best to drink this juice on an empty, or 1 hour before or after a meal.

Instructions
  1. Wash all of the ingredients. Peel the carrots if not organic, then peel the ginger (I like to peel ginger with the edge of a teaspoon).
  2. Chop all the ingredients and place into the blender with 1/2 cup water. Blend till smooth, then drain with your chosen strainer into a large bowl.
  3. Transfer into a glass, serve and drink immediately.
Recipe Notes

Try and drink your juice straight away because as soon it meets the air it begins to oxidize, compromising its nutritional value. If you are going to drink your juice later be sure to store it in a glass air tight jar, as this will slow down the oxidizing process.
